Delete your account
You can delete your A1 Golf Connect account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it from the app, how to request it by email if you can’t sign in, and exactly what happens to your data.
1. Delete from the app (recommended)
- Open the A1 Golf Connect app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the notice and tap Delete my account, then confirm.
You’ll see a confirmation that your deletion request was submitted.
2. What gets deleted
When you request deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and signed out, along with any communities you run and their events. Your data then enters a 30-day grace period:
- Day 0: account and the communities you own are deactivated and hidden; you are signed out everywhere.
- Within 30 days: your data is retained so you can recover the account (see below).
- After 30 days: your account and the personal data we hold for it — including your profile (name, email, phone, photo), memberships, scores and any communities/events you own — are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Note: payment is handled on each community’s own external provider (e.g. Stripe / Golf Genius); A1 Golf Connect never stores your payment or card details, so there is none to delete on our side.
3. Change your mind? Recover within 30 days
If you change your mind during the 30-day window, just open the app and log in with the same email and password. You’ll be offered a Recover account option that cancels the deletion and restores your account and communities. After 30 days, recovery is no longer possible.
4. Can’t access your account?
If you’re unable to sign in (for example, you’ve lost access to your email or device), you can request deletion by contacting us. Email privacy@a1golfconnect.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will verify your identity and process the deletion. Verified email requests are completed within 30 days.
